LOPEZ, Quezon – Four members of a family were stabbed to death while sleeping inside their bedroom in Barangay Banabain, this town on Thursday morning.
Police identified the victims as Teresita Osana, 56, married; Victoria Osana, 40, single, deaf/mute; Khim Zyrene Esguerra, 11, grade 5 student; and Saint Jeric Osana, 6, all residents of Sitio Central Barangay Banabain, Lopez, Quezon.
The suspect identified only as a certain Oding fled on foot after the incident bringing with him the fatal weapon used in the stabbing incident.
Investigation disclosed that Rodelo Ibana, 51, married, carpenter and a resident of Brgy Vergaña, Lopez, Quezon, told police that he was about to report for work at the house of Osana family when he discovered the lifeless body of the victims with several stab wounds.
Further reports added that based on statement of of Jerick’s father, Ricardo Osana, he said the suspect had an old grudge against him since December 2011 in relation to their livestock business.
Ricardo received several text messages threatening his life that says, “Tapos ka na pag nagkita tayo, papatayin kita pag nagkita tayo,“ (You’re finish when we meet, I’ll kill you if I meet you).
The victims were last seen by their neighbors watching television inside their house at around 10:00 pm of Wednesday. (Danny Estacio)
