Manila, Philippines – The Supreme Court (SC) will release at 2 p.m. tomorrow the results of the 2011 Bar examinations it administered to 6,200 law graduates in four Sundays last November at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila.
Justice Roberto A. Abad, chairman of the 2011 Bar examinations committee, said yesterday that the Bar examinations issue will be taken up in today’s full court session.
Abad said the SC will conduct a manual audit of the electronic system of decoding (the process of matching the examination number with the name of an examinee) to assure the authenticity and accuracy of the system.
He also said that the names of the examiners will be released tomorrow and possibly the number of examinees who passed the examinations.
“By 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the results of the 2011 bar examinations will be released by the SC,” Abad said.
In 2010, more than 40 persons – most of them Bar examinees – were wounded in a grenade attack on the last day of the examinations at the De La Salle University on Taft Avenue, Manila.
Because of the incident, the SC came up with stricter measures in the conduct of the Bar examinations, one of which is the banning of Bar operations. (Rey G. Panaligan)
