PNoy confident Korean TV host Lee can handle publicity well


Manila, Philippines – Korean television and radio host Grace Lee said yesterday President Aquino is confident that she could handle the publicity well after reports on their dating hit the newsstand.

“He leaves it up to me. I’m sure he trusts that I can handle it,” Lee said in the noontime news program Balitanghali, wherein she hosts the show business news Starbites on GMA News TV.

She, however, admitted that being given this big an attention from the media and the public eye is different from her being a radio and television host.

“Pero ibang level ‘to [But this is on a different level],” Lee said.

Lee also admitted that she and the President had dinner after attending the 112th anniversary of the Manila Bulletin on Thursday night.

Lee is also a columnist of the Manila Bulletin while President Aquino was the guest of honor at the 112th anniversary of the Manila Bulletin, wherein the President introduced Lee to some of the VIPs like former Presidents Fidel V. Ramos and Joseph Estrada, Manila Bulletin chairman Emilio Yap and Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio “Sonny” Coloma.

It was recalled that both the President and Lee admitted on Wednesday (February 1) that they are dating.

“Well, we’re seeing each other,” was the bachelor President’s reply when asked on the real score between him and Lee.

He, however, did not disclose other details, saying that he has a right to privacy.

Lee, for her part, affirmed that she is dating the Chief Executive in Balitanghali aired on GMA News TV Wednesday, saying that what the President said was “very simple and truthful”.

It was also recalled that Aquino and Lee met in an event in Cebu last year. Lee was the event’s emcee and President Aquino acknowledged Lee as “gwapa” (beautiful) before he made his speech.
