Manila, Philippines – The STI Olympians and the Jose Maria College Kings arranged a battle for the best basketball team in Mindanao after beating their respective opponents in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League regional games last Tuesday at the Almendras Gym in Davao City.

The Olympians, representing North Mindanao, routed Ateneo de Zamboanga, 111-94, while the Kings blasted Holy Trinity College, 107-80, to set the Mindanao Regional championship duel.

The winner between the Olympians and the Kings will advance to the Sweet 16 and earn a trip to Ormoc City to face CESAFI champion University of Cebu.

Teams already in the Sweet 16 are Ateneo de Manila University, San Beda College, Far Eastern University, San Sebastian College, Adamson University, Letran, University of Santo Tomas, Jose Rizal University, Southwestern University, National University, La Salle, University of Northern Philippines, and University of Batangas.
