Manila, Philippines – The Kilusang Mamamayan sa Tuwid na Daan (KMTD) has urged President Benigno S. Aquino III to launch the Loterya ng Bayan to clip the operations of alleged “jueteng“ (an illegal numbers game) lord Bong Pineda from Pampanga and control of “masiao“ by businessman Atong Ang.
In a manifesto, KMTD claimed that “two years have passed since Loterya ng Bayan was designed to reduce and eventually eliminate the immoral and illegal operations of Pineda in Luzon and Atong Ang in the Visayas and Mindanao, both of whom operate under the cloak of the Small Town Lottery (STL) but the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has not done nothing to implement Loterya ng Bayan.“
The group said the billions in jueteng and masiao proceeds will continue to be used against President Benigno S. Aquino III and his “Tuwid na Daan“ (straight path) and the PCSO should waste no time in implementing the PCSO Loterya ng Bayan. (Marvyn N. Benaning)
