LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines – Two armed men held up a school finance officer and made off with P116,000 in payroll and personal money in Barangay Marketview, here, Wednesday morning.
Police Officer 1 Aldrin Ranola, officer on case, identified the victim as Glenda Matias, 37, teacher and finance officer of the Children Montessori in this city.
The victim had just withdrawn the school’s payroll money from a bank in Lucena when two motorcycle-riding men fired shots at the tricycle she was riding on and declared a holdup.
The suspects then grabbed the bag of the victim and immediately fled towards Barangay Ibabang Dupay also in this city. (Danny Estacio)
